The Emma Sirena Partenope Shoulder Bag, from the Capricci line by Macrì, is inspired by the famous myth of the Mermaid Partenope, which according to legend gave birth to the city of Naples and is intertwined with the adventures of Ulysses.
It's said that the Circe Sorceress, in saying goodbye to Ulysses, had told him to pay close attention to the Sirens, who lived on the rocks in front of Positano and that with their magic songs enchanted sailors so that their boats crashed on the rocks .
The Ulysses ship was saved. The Sirens, divine but not immortal, victim to their own failure, killed themselves falling from the rocks.
The body of the beautiful Mermaid Partenope was carried by the currents to the islet of Megaride, now the site of the famous Castel dell'Ovo in Naples.
